If there's one
time in your life when you have a great excuse to spoil
yourself on a holiday, it's your honeymoon. Planning a
wedding can be highly stressful, so taking a honeymoon
vacation is a great way to unwind after the big day is
over. Let someone else look after you and cater to your
every whim. The hardest part will be picking the
destination - there are so many romantic places to
choose from!

the Most of Your Honeymoon Vacation
It never hurts to let people know you're on your
honeymoon once you arrive at your destination, or even
when you're booking. Most people have a soft spot for
newlyweds, and will go out of their way to make sure you
have a wonderful time. Nowadays some people have decided
that traveling straight after their wedding is too much
hassle, so they just get married in a tropical paradise,
and then simply stay on a bit longer for a honeymoon.
Travel companies now have wedding packages available so
that you can minimize the amount of organizing you need
to do at a distance. The packages cover the ceremony,
reception and accommodation for the newlyweds and their
guests, and cover most of the popular honeymoon vacation
destinations around the world.

Honeymoon Ideas
Although you can choose to take an active, adventurous
honeymoon, most couples don't want to start out married
life nursing a broken leg from a skiing accident. So
perhaps spending some time soaking up the sun on a
beautiful beach is a better way to go. Comfortable
chairs, an exotic drink with umbrellas in it, and maybe
the occasional game of Frisbee, all sound like the
perfect way to enjoy Fiji, Jamaica or Hawaii. Still,
beaches aren't for everyone, and you may prefer a
romantic city, like Venice or Paris, where the
architecture and sunsets just seem to whisper 'love',
and you can enjoy a romantic coffee while you watch the
world go by.
A cruise is another popular choice for a honeymoon
vacation, because once you're onboard you really don't
have to worry about being organized - everything is done
for you. All you have to do is turn up for meals! Choose
a stunning location, like the Caribbean Islands, and
enjoy the luxury of floating around the sun kissed ocean
on the equivalent of a top quality hotel. You can take a
look at the various ports along the way, or just stay on
the ship and enjoy the facilities.

Plan a Honeymoon
The first step in having a successful honeymoon is to
sit down and talk about what you both want to get out of
your vacation. Does he want to check out every single
adventure sport ever invented? Perhaps she wants to
catch up on reading all those books she's always wanted
to read, while sitting on a lounge by the pool and
drinking fancy cocktails. Once you know what you both
want, then you will find it easier to choose a
destination that will make both of you happy.
The only downside of a honeymoon vacation is that you
have to get married, and most people don't do that very
often! So perhaps it's time to take a second honeymoon,
and pamper you and your partner with some luxury in a
romantic destination.
